Someone Built A Turntable Inside A Repurposed Star Wars Millennium Falcon Toy

Marco Garza came up with the idea of taking a Star Wars Millennium Falcon Toy and integrating a Technics SL-1200 working turntable inside of it. Garza began the process by building the record player after buying the used spaceship for a total of $2. Garza wrote “So with a little help from my friends at Green Guy Recycling for the recycled metal all I needed was a bit more supplies and a little a lot of patience since start to finish took me almost nine months to make.” Read how he made the turntable here.

This Guy 3D Printed a Working Turntable

Last month we reported that someone built a working turntable out of Legos, but now someone has decided to one up him by 3D printing a working turntable. The creator of the turntable said that “All pieces for (the) record player are neatly aligned and designed to fit in a 15x15x15cm cube, and print beautifully on the Replicator 2, without any rafting or supports,” she explains. “Once all the pieces are printed, it assembles in about five minutes. Then you just add a little glue to make sure nothing flies of as it spins and you’re ready to go.” Check
