Modeselektor and Apparat team up as Moderat for new album ‘II,’ now available for full stream

Moderat is the child of German duo Modeselektor and Apparat, and the trio are back with their second (appropriately named) LP, II, due out on August 6. The eleven track effort is a shining example of modern electronic music and the full album is now available for a full and uninterrupted stream on NPR’s website. It’s part dreamy and ambient, part dark and dramatic, and well-supported by Apparat’s vocals throughout. Although the individual styles of these artists may not seem totally confluent with one another, II never seems to indicate any real conflict.
