Some Music Festivals May Be Forced to Go 21+

The LA County government approved new guidelines for concerts and music festivals earlier this week. Following a string of deaths related to MDMA consumption, the LA county government will combine a team made up of fire, medical, public health, sheriffs and other top county officials to make the call on whether a music festival with 10,000 or more people will be an 18+ or 21+ event. Under the new guidelines, music festival promoters will have to submit plans to the team 120 days in advance of the event. The assessment team will then make a “threat assessment” based on the

Pepsi Max has just introduced their brand new ‘friend finder’ drone which can help you regroup with your friends at music festivals. As many of you already know, cell phone service at music festivals is usually zilch and once you lose your group of friends you’re typically screwed. Pepsi Max has decided to create the ‘friend finder’ drone which helps you find your group of friends with a pokeball-like blimp which uses GPS to locate your friends. LA County Calls For Ban On Music Festivals After Two Recent Deaths

Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis plans to introduce a motion at today’s board meeting that would ban major music festivals in the Los Angeles county following an investigation into the weekend deaths of two women at the HARD Summer music festival. Solis states that “I am deeply troubled by the fact that this is the third such death to happen in my district in the last year and a half. No one – no one should have to lose their life while attending a public concert.” County attorneys are currently investigating whether or not HARD events followed all contractual
