The EP comes from Humans & Machines, who make their debut release with two thick techno smashers, “Lesson 101″ and “Angst”.

There’s no denying that the most refreshing sounds of the moment are coming out of the UK and Bristol-based talent Icarus represents his home well with the aptly titled “Gold.” Thoroughly dreary from it’s initial kick to its final snare hit, the mix moves like a rainy day that you’d rather spend in bed. Although generally somber in its approach, hints of sunlight break through the dense haze of downtempo breaks to reveal a production that is as fun to overanalyze as it is to sit and listen.
