Zedd Requests Help of Sia, Camila Cabello, Macklemore & Grimes to Host Charity Show in Support of ACLU
The country is currently heated over Donald Trump‘s outlandish immigration ban including Zedd. The German raised DJ/producer took to Twitter to ask for the help of Sia, Camila Cabello, Macklemore, and Grimes to put on a show in support of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which has been working with the help of a federal judge to block Trump’s ban. He further responded to Your EDM’s coverage tweet by mentioning… “I’m actually an immigrant myself. Born in Russia, grew up in Germany, currently in America on a VISA.” d We hope to see this charity concert come to life! […]

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! MoogFest has released their latest lineup announcement and it’s impressive to say the least. For those of you unfamiliar, Moogfest, is an incredibly progressive and interactive music, art, and technology festival inspired by synth inventor and electronic music innovator Robert Moog. Four years was worth the wait for Grimes’ brilliantly diverse fourth album ‘Art Angels.’
“I just don’t want to sound current. If I sound current, it’s because I made the new current,” Grimes said about her latest album to Pigeons and Planes. It’s been a classic ride to the top of electronic stardom for up and coming producer, Claire Boucher – better known as “experimental pop” goddess, Grimes. She just released her fourth studio album called Art Angels and it’s a pretty big statement to the rest of the artists out there. She calls herself wizard rock, but she’s a producer first and a pretty face second. The hype is real. As an accomplished director and artist, Grimes is
She calls herself “wizard rock” on her Facebook profile. Some describe her as “electro-pop.” But these words barely capture everything that Grimes has to offer. We recently caught her at Beach Goth 4 in Santa Ana, CA last weekend, putting on a great show with a mix of trapstyle songs and euphoric, beautiful battle cry anthems (and some solid dance routines). This isn’t the image you might have of the complex artist. She is not shy about feeling under appreciated as a producer. In an interview earlier this year, she spoke about the subject openly. However, that’s all about to change. Her album

Expected to grace the cover of The Fader in September’s issue, Grimes recently did an interview with the magazine to discuss plenty of topics (and you can read the full article here) including her new album. According to responses on her Twitter account, it will be released in the fall but “it’ll be a surprise release cuz I want fans to get it b4 press and the tracks should be heard together.” Grimes is still a bit of an enigma to many. She came onto the scene when bedroom producers started changing the scope of the music industry with the electronic
