Naderi Impresses With Massive New Remix Of The Chainsmokers’ “Somebody”

Just last month The Chainsmokers came out with their undeniably catchy tune “Somebody,” featuring Drew Love of THEY. Although it was an easy track to get stuck in your head, one of our favorite producers, Naderi, has taken the track to an entirely new level.

When it comes to remixes, Naderi is arguably one of the best in the game right now. His take on “Somebody” is seriously impressive. Naderi adds a spicy new flavor, flipping the track into certified future bass banger, switching up between vibrant supersaw synths and rattling dubstep growls.

As we patiently await Naderi’s imminent release of original work, these powerful remixes will certainly hold us over. Enjoy!

Mija Teams Up With Billy Kenny On Bass Heavy Tech-House Track “Afterparty Planet”

When Mija says “Fk A Genre,” she really means it. During the span of her career, we’ve seen her dip into nearly everything from drum & bass to techno. This time around she teams up with alien tech house guru Billy Kenny to release an other worldly track titled “Afterparty Planet.”

“Afterparty Planet” is our favorite number off of Billy Kenny’s EP Billy Kenny & Friends 2, fresh off This Ain’t Bristol. From start to finish, the tune is a cosmic journey through the realm of house music, with eccentric synth stabs around every corner. The driving force throughout the track, however, is pulsing bass line that just beckons you to move along with it.

Like she does in many of her tracks, Mija lends her own vocals on the second part of “Afterparty Planet,” adding an alluring, playful tone to the already wonderfully weird tune.

We’re loving this new house sound from Mija, and we’re hoping she continues with it going forward. Enjoy!

Diplo & Will Smith Link Up On New Official Song For The World Cup

Diplo has been all over the place these past few weeks. Not only has he branched out with his two new collaborative projects, LSD (with Labrinth and Sia) and Silk City (with Mark Ronson), but he also just produced the official FIFA World Cup song “Live It Up” with Nicky Jam, Era Istrefi, and the one and only Will Smith.

“Live It Up” might not be the kind of music that we usually dive into, but once we found out there was a collaboration that involved both Diplo and Will Smith, we knew we had to give it a listen. The track itself is what you would expect an official World Cup so to sound like: a fun, uptempo number featuring elements of lively genres like reggaeton and ska.

If you’re as curious as we were when we first of this collaboration, go ahead and give “Live It Up” a listen below.

Watch Skrillex Drop Possible Missy Elliott Collab At FORM Arcosanti

Whenever Skrillex throws down, he does so in incredible fashion – as was the case with his performance at this years FORM Arcosanti. But because Skrill’s now somewhat rare sets (and presence in general) are so overwhelming, we almost missed what might shape up to be 2018’s hottest track – as it seems that Skrillex may have a collab with Missy Elliott in the works.

Featuring the lyrics “It’s Missy E and DJ Skrillex” as well as the iconic “this the kinda beat that go ra-ta-ta” obviously referencing Missy’s song “Work It”, it seems pretty likely that Missy is in fact featured on the new ID. Although Skrillex only plays the track for about 75 seconds, we’re not only possibly hearing Missy vocals, but also some Wiwek jungle terror sound design as well. While we still remain skeptical, we’re hoping more info will come out surrounding this could-be collab in the near future. For now check out the ID below and enjoy!

ZHU Delivers Hypnotic New Remix Of Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa’s “One Kiss”

ZHU  blew us away when he returned to his dark and moody sound on his most recent album Ringo’s Desert Pt. 1. We’ve been fans of ZHU’s since the very beginning, but nothing gets us going quite like his hypnotic, minor-key melodies. That’s why when we saw that he had remixed one of our favorite recent singles from Calvin Harris (featuring Dua Lipa), we knew it was going to be heat.

When “One Kissfirst dropped, we were stoked to hear that Calvin Harris was back to making smooth, dance-driven deep house. ZHU, however, has taken “One Kiss” to an entirely new level. The downpitched vocals and sinister melodies have this remix sounding like a classic ZHU track, along with the way he adds his own unmistakable voice to the tune.

We hope that ZHU continues to ride this sound out for as long as possible. If you liked the way his recent album was sounding, then you’ll definitely get a kick out of this new remix. Enjoy!

RÜFÜS DU SOL Release First Track In Two Years With Must Hear Single “No Place”

Nothing gets us more worked up than new RÜFÜS DU SOL music. For that reason, today we’ll be bumping their new single “No Place” all day long. It has been over a year since the Aussie trio dropped their 2016 album Bloom which placed #2 on TSIS’s favorite albums of 2016. This returning single couldn’t be more of a jam. They have been publicly promoting that they’ve been working on a new album for a while now, so we are hoping this first single will open the floodgates and summer ‘18 will be full of new RÜFÜS tunes.

“No Place” is everything you’d hope for in a RÜFÜS DU SOL release. Atmospheric pads, enticing vocals, dramatic drums and their unparalleled dance-driven vibe. Already slated to play major festivals such as Bonnaroo and Electric Forest, it is clear that this summer is going to be massive for RÜFÜS DU SOL and we couldn’t be more excited about it… Enjoy!

A$AP Rocky Drops His Highly Anticipated Third Studio Album ‘Testing’

After months and months of teasing fans with an album rollout unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, A$AP Rocky’s newest album, Testing, has finally hit the shelves. Testing is the third studio album from the Harlem rapper, and perhaps his most highly anticipated project to date.

During the rollout of Testing, fans were exposed to a bunch of new material from Rocky. Some of it was fire, some if it was… questionable. Thankfully, none of the those questionable tracks made it onto the album. It looks like Rocky listened to his fans, because the final product is pure heat.

Testing not only features some of A$AP Rocky’s best work, but also has some amazing guest appearances by some of our favorite artists in hip-hop right now. There’s verses from Puff Daddy, FKA Twigs, Kodak Black, Skepta, Juicy J, Snoop Dogg, Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi, and even more.

Rocky took his time carefully crafting this new album. It’s been almost exactly three years since the drop of his previous album, At.Long.Last.A$AP., and we can definitely hear the effort that was put into this.

Stream the album in its entirety below and enjoy!

In a time where music festivals have become some of the most in demand events across the globe, finding a fest that maintains a homegrown, down to earth atmosphere is difficult. Lucky for us, North Florida’s own Suwannee Hulaween does just that and more.

Held at The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, this Halloween-themed festival brings together the best in electronic, indie, hip-hop, jam and more for four days of music. And the musicians are just one face of a many-faceted event – the Spirit Lake visual arts experience, interactive activities, food and wide range of attendees make for a truly one of a kind experience in one of the country’s most magical, otherworldly locations.

If that wasn’t enough, this week Hulaween dropped an absolutely incredible lineup for 2018. As always, the fest will bring The String Cheese Incident for three nights of amazing performances. The other headliners include ODESZA, Jamiroquai and Janelle Monáe. Support is just as unique from there with Tipper, REZZ, Gramatik, NGHTMRE, Lettuce, Troyboi, Snakehips, Opiuo, Kasbo and many, may more taking their talents to North Florida from October 26 – 28 (and the annual pre-party on the 25). Find tickets here and check out the full lineup above and the 2017 aftermovie below. Enjoy!

Diplo & Mark Ronson Deliver Incredible “Essential Mix” For Their New Project Silk City

Just yesterday, Diplo and Mark Ronson surprised us with the debut single of their brand new collaborative project, Silk City. Diplo had previously stated that this project will be focusing on a disco sound, and after listening to “Only Can Get Better,” we think that they nailed it.

Today, the two Grammy award winning producers have delivered an hour long “Essential Mix” that was posted to Diplo’s SoundCloud. It seems like this new mix aims to lay the groundwork for their new disco vibe. Not only do we have a handful of different edits by Silk City (which are being called “Silk City Specials”), but a bunch of uplifting, jackin’ tunes by artists like Cajmere, Missy Elliot, Masters At Work, and Tchami.

This is the first time we’ve heard Diplo seriously dive into the genre of house, and with the unyielding talents of Mark Ronson, who knows where they’ll go. Either way, we can’t wait to hear more from the new duo. Enjoy!

Tourist Shares Alluring Laidback Remix Of Rostam’s “Gwan”

We love getting our daily dose of chill tunes, and when it comes to relaxing, downtempo, electronic music, Tourist is one of our favorites. It’s hard to believe it, but it’s been over half of a year since we heard any new music from the London-based artist. That changes today, however, as he has just released a brand new remix of Rostam’s track, “Gwan.”

Tourist definitely focuses on quality over quantity. Although he may only have couple of releases per year, nearly everything he puts out is worth listening to. Most of his work is original, but the way he put a perfect electronic spin to onto Rostam’s beautiful indie track is seriously impressive. Tourist chops up Rostam’s vocals, and adds some ghost-like effects with some gorgeous sounds and melodies. Listen to the brand new, laidback tune below and hear for yourself. Enjoy!

Diplo & Mark Ronson Unveil Highly Anticipated “Silk City” Project With New Single “Only Can Get Better”

When we first heard that Diplo and Mark Ronson were coming together to start a side project called Silk City, we had no idea what to think. What kind of sound would come from two of the biggest producers in music? Today we found out via their brand new track “Only Can Get Better,” and it’s sounding awesome.

Diplo and Mark Ronson might be on different sides of the music spectrum, but the two have seemed to find a common ground. “We’re trying to do something with disco music,” Diplo had mentioned in an article with GQ. Thinking about Diplo making disco music made us chuckle a bit, but we’re not laughing anymore. The two super-producers executed their idea flawlessly, and we aren’t ashamed to say that we’re seriously digging their new sound.

Based on solely this first single, we can say that we are officially stoked to hear what the rest of their album is going to sound like. If you’re in the mood for some upbeat, housey, disco vibes, then we highly recommend giving “Only Can Get Better” a listen. Enjoy!

Whethan is someone we always get excited to hear new music from, and with his latest teaming up with one of our favorite singers / songwriters Kailee Morgue on “Do You Feel This Way“, it’s just the combo we wanted. Kailee Morgue has been impressing us ever since her debut single “Medusa” and we had the pleasure of premiering her latest collaboration with Bearson last month on “Go To Sleep” as she keeps the new music coming.

“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve made because it is off axis just enough to blur my perspective between haunting and inviting. Teaming up with Whethan brought the perfect blend of hazy lethargy and upbeat skepticism to the track. It captures the unease of that feeling of not knowing how someone truly feels about you, and it still always makes me want to move when I hear it—it’s so fun to perform.” - Kailee Morgue

This one is released as Kailee’s song with a production credit from Whethan. The 19-year-old has an incredible voice and the songwriting talents to back it up as she puts these impressive abilities on full display. Whethan always hits the mark on his production and blends gritty, alternative sound design with bright melodies making for an interesting instrumental laying the foundation for the vocals to shine. Enjoy!

Watch Big Wild & Foreign Family’s Must Hear Experimental Audio-Visual Release “Ascension”

TSIS is always eager to support artists who are dedicated to expanding the horizons of their craft. Proven to be innovative, dynamic, and fearless; Big Wild is an artist that falls within this category. In partnership with Foreign Family Collective and celebrated film studio, The Yazuki, Big Wild has released an audio-visual art piece titled “Ascension“.

In less than three minutes, the visuals in Ascension portray an eerie depiction of a world in which technology is necessary to produce life. Big Wild’s dramatic audio pairing is a testament to his sophisticated production and sound design capabilities. When combined, the result is a powerful deliverable that fits nicely into Foreign Family’s repertoire of content that proves commitment to the progression of electronic music.

“This art piece tells the story of an advanced society that’s become so mechanized and ruled by technology that it’s neglected the natural environment, which it in turn has to now rebuild. The painful irony of this situation brings to question our infatuation with technology and an increasing detachment from the natural world. We wanted to create our own world and convey a simple but powerful message. I really wanted to experiment musically and collaborate with visual artists to create something unique. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!” – Big Wild

It is projects such as “Ascension” that make Big Wild a true visionary; An artist that is devoted to delivering a message in such a way that has never been done before. Enjoy!

Stay tuned for the video to be uploaded.

Tyler, The Creator Drops New Song “435″ With New Video

Tyler, The Creator has been very kind to his fans over the past year. Following up his best work to date on Flower Boy, Tyler has been opening up his vault of unreleased songs, sharing them with fans consistently over the past couple months. Now he’s back at it with another loose single “435” which he says is “a random song laying around from the flower boy tour in feb.”

The song comes with a casual, one camera video showing Tyler rapping the song in the studio. These new songs have some slight vocal distortions with some classic hip-hop production that we’re loving. We’re unsure if Tyler has any plans for these loose songs he’s been dropping but we hope they keep coming. Enjoy!

A$AP Rocky Seemingly Just Announced His Album ‘Testing’ Is Dropping This Week

Is A$AP Rocky’s album dropping this week? It sure looks like it. He’s been teasing this project since last fall, and now it seems he’s announced his new album Testing will drop this Friday, May 25 which is almost exactly three years after his last album. He just shared a cryptic image on Instagram with hands reading 5 2 5 with the caption “525,” which is this Friday. His good friend Tyler, The Creator commented saying “does this mean May 25th u cryptic bitch?”

Rocky just did a strange, performance art piece last night called Lab Rat, tweeting a flyer for the event that was also hosted live on his YouTube channel.

The performance art was reminiscent of Frank Ocean building his staircase ahead of his album release and featured Rocky in a glass box doing various tasks with lab workers including answer rapid fire lie detector questions, eating hot peppers, taking an ice bath and more. He just shared the artwork saying “All Done” and we can’t wait. Stay tuned for more info and check out the “Lab Rat” video here. Enjoy!
