Bryson Tiller Drops 19-Track Surprise Album “True To Self” : Hip-Hop/R&B

Bryson Tiller just surprised fans with a brand new, 19-track album titled True To Self. The album was originally set to drop in June but he decided to drop the project early without warning.

This is the much anticipated follow-up to Tiller’s debut album Trapsoul that went platinum and skyrocketed Tiller with a quick rise to fame. Like his last album, True To Self balances hip-hop and R&B efforlessly as he offers his crooning and rapping over incredible production. Bryson takes on the instrumentals alone as he doesn’t have features on the project. Enjoy!

Valentino Khan Shares Hard-Hitting Single “Pump”

Valentino Khan’s “Deep Down Low” was undoubtedly one of the most played festival tracks of 2015 and possibly 2016. Ever since it’s release, the LA-based producer has been evolving his sound and teaming up with the likes of Anna Lunoe, Wuki and Skrillex to release banger after banger. Now he’s dropped yet another hard-hitting single titled “Pump”.

For his latest offering, Valentino Khan revisits a bouncy production style similar to “Deep Down Low”. Starting with wonky percussion and pitched vocal chops, “Pump” erupts with energy get-go. An energetic rise progresses the track into a simplistic drop filled with gritty plucks coarse bass wobbles and a powerful kick drum. Enjoy!

Zedd And Alessia Cara’s “Stay” Gets A Refreshing House Remix From Felix Cartal

Canadian producer Felix Cartal has consistently proven himself when it comes to creating smooth, easy-going house tracks. From his fresh remix of 90s hit “You Get What You Give” to his melodic house original “Drifting Away,” the artist excels in capturing an airy, relaxed vibe in all of his releases. This week Felix Cartal dropped his most recent offering, a fresh remix of Zedd & Alessia Cara’s “Stay” that turns the song on its head in the best way possible.

The shining point of this remix is what Felix Cartal did with the vocals. He switched things up exponentially with impressive edits, allowing the rise and fall of Cara’s voice to playfully intertwine with the chilled-out house vibe of the track. The production work is equally stellar, with lush melodies and subtle guitar riffs that carry a tropical-esque sound perfect for summer. Stream Felix Cartal’s take on “Stay” below and enjoy!

Flatbush Zombies Deliver Incredible Hip-Hop Remix Of Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still”

Portugal. The Man’s recent hit single “Feel It Still” just recently grabbed a great remix from Lido and now Flatbush Zombies have given the track another incredible remix. It’s very unexpected for Flatbush Zombies to do a remix of Portugal, but they absolutely crushed it.

They put a full spin on the track fully recreating it as their own. Their producer Erick The Architect always finds a way to impress us and his flip of the beat is incredible as he introduces crisp percussion while utilizing different aspects of the original. Each verse sounds great as they even incorporate the original’s infectious hook making for an amazing surprise. Enjoy!

Getter & Whethan Collaborator Oliver Tree Drops Debut Solo Tracks “Welcome To LA” & “All I Got”

Oliver Tree’s first two solo tracks titled “Welcome To LA” and “All I Got”’ have finally dropped and they’re nothing short of incredible. Based in LA, Oliver Tree has made an impression by providing vocals for both Whethan and Getter on their respective projects and we’ve been looking forward to hearing his own music. These latest releases are the first to come from Oliver Tree personally and sound a bit more indie-rock influenced than what we’ve heard from him previously.

Both tracks came with production help from Whethan, who recently invited Oliver Tree to be a part of his performance at Coachella. The two make a dynamic duo that is quickly gaining the attention of fans everywhere.

Oliver Tree’s voice is as memorable and unique as his hilarious personality. His alter ego, Turbo, is a razor scooter enthusiast who rocks a ridiculous bowl-cut and a pair of hysterical red shades. (see below)

All jokes aside, Oliver Tree is a super talented artist who really set the tone with these first two releases. “Welcome To LA” is a funky song with an infectious bassline and an impressively versatile vocal performance. “All I Got” is a bit more sentimental but equally as powerful with upbeat percussion and a memorable chorus. Enjoy!

[PREMIERE] SAYMYNAME Makes TSIS Debut With Hard Trap Original “Turn Up Da Bass”

SAYMYNAME is one of many talented producers on the rise over on the west coast, and for good reason. The Los Angeles-based artist has been pursuing his innovative hard trap signature for nearly half a decade, combining the big room sound of hardstyle with the abrasiveness of trap to create explosive offerings time and time again.

Today SAYMYNAME is making his well-deserved TSIS debut with the premiere of “Turn Up Da Bass,” a hard-hitting single out now on Borgore’s label, Buygore. Instead of an over the top bass-laden drop like the title and the familiar vocal build would suggest, SAYMYNAME chose a more subdued approach that showcases his knack for production in a fantastic way.

The drop is gritty and moody while still packing a harsh punch of bass, and incorporates soaring synths to compliment it as well. This thunderous original embodies all the best parts of the hard trap style and is sounding great. Check out “Turn up Da Bass” below and enjoy!

[PREMIERE] Honors Deliver Impressive New Song “Say Yes” : Electronic / R&B

We are excited to premiere the new single “Say Yes” from Honors, an emerging band coming out of Toronto. The song is a follow-up to their debut single that we premiered last December, which has now racked up millions of plays.

“Say Yes” brings together electronic elements with R&B to create a sound similar to their past OVO collaborators, but the four-piece band stands out with their live composition. The chopped and pitched vocal effects of the intro are joined by loud synths and syncopated drums before the song drops into a huge chorus with electric guitar. The lead singer’s impressive vocals range from hushed verses to effected falsettos to rock-band choruses, all while maintaining a central sound.

While we have only heard two tracks from this up-and-coming band, they have both shown that this is one group to keep an eye on. We look forward to seeing what else they have in store for us from Toronto. Enjoy!

Superstars Martin Garrix and Troye Sivan have become so prominent in the music industry that they longer need an introduction. Martin Garrix has been teasing this collab for a while; playing it at major festivals and even bringing Troye Sivan out while on tour to add his live vocals to the track. “There For You” starts out slow with a delicate vocal chop but quickly layers into some reversed synths and gentle plucks. [PREMIERE] Sean Turk Drops Chill New Remix of Two Friends And Cosmos & Creature’s “Out Of Love”

Sean Turk continues to impress us with his chill, future spins on songs by some of our favorite artists. We have the pleasure of premiering a second track from him, following up his remix of Breathe Carolina and IZII’s “Echo.” For his latest release, Sean Turk has given us his own take on Two Friends and Cosmos & Creature’s collaboration “Out Of Love.

Sean Turk’s version takes the original production and strips it down layering tropical synths and acoustic guitar, slowly building up the tension. The breakdowns follow the chord progression and incorporate deep horns and echoing synth leads under Cosmos & Creature’s ambient vocal melodies.

Whenever I get a chance to work with Brandyn Burnette and Molly Moore of Cosmos & Creature I take it. They are some of the hardest working, talented individuals I’ve worked with. This collab they did with Matt and Eli of Two Friends was an instant favorite off the EP. Hope you enjoy the vibes! -Sean Turk

Keep an eye out for more to come from this talented producer. You can download his remix of “Out Of Love” for free below via Spinnin’ Records. Enjoy!

Getter, Borgore & More Join On Pink Guy’s PINK SEASON Remix EP + Ridiculous Video

Pink Guy (a.k.a Filthy Frank a.k.a joji) has been on a roll so far this year. After dropping the hilarious rap song  “Hood Rich” with Getter and Nick Colletti, he went on to release an absolutely ridiculous 35-track album titled PINK SEASON that, incredibly, topped iTunes charts during its debut. Today, following up the success of PINK SEASON, he’s dropped a remix EP, PINK SEASON: THE PROPHECY.
PINK SEASON: THE PROPHECY comes complete with an outrageous 12-minute video mashup of remixes from Getter, Borgore, Axel Boy, TastyTreat. The video starts off with Pink Guy majestically running through a lush green field transitioning into a colorful side-by-side shot of flashing japanese art and slow-motion scenes of Pink Guy tripping out. Halfway through, the video takes a dark turn when Pink Guy has a sword-fight with a masked ninja and someone in a Terror Reid mask shoots a guy for his chain. The video in its entirety is definitely one of the most odd things we’ve seen in a while. Viewer be warned, there are some pretty gross food scenes toward the end.

FKJ & Masego Share Incredible Live Studio Video Of New 8-Minute Collaboration

The two talented producers/instrumentalists/vocalists FKJ and Masego are the latest to meet up at the Red Bull Studio in Paris, and they shared a glimpse into this session together. According to FKJ, who is from Paris himself, they went into it without planning anything and just kept playing music together for the entire day. The video they shared is an eight-minute improvised jam from their day and it is incredibly impressive.

The two are continually looping different instruments, beats, and effects with precise transitions to create this unique jam together.  The way they simultaneously incorporate guitar, drums, saxophone, keys, and vocals creates a sound much larger than just two people. It’s incredible to see how easily these two artists can communicate without using any words; it really feels like they’ve been longtime bandmates.

The session never stays in one place for too long and it’s amazing that this high-quality output wasn’t planned as an official release ahead of time. Here’s to hoping we’ll be hearing some more from what sounds like an incredible collaborative session in the studio. Enjoy!

Mysterious Hip-Hop Act Darci Drops Impressive New Track “Don’t Ask”

Today we have the pleasure of introducing a new hop-hop act we’re excited about. Mysterious artist(s) Darci popped up on our radar recently with his / her / their infectious hip-hop sound. The only information we have is this intriguing looking monster logo.

Darci takes on the auto-tune style of rapping paired with some incredible electronic fueled production. It reminds us certain qualities of artists like 6LACK or even Travis Scott. While the mysterious approach might be a little overdone in the electronic world it’s rare to see for singers/rappers and feels refreshing in this case.

Darci released the song “Come Around” (listen below) that caught first our ears and we added to one of the earlier editions of our weekly chill playlist. We’ve been following them since with “Arts and Crafts”, “Two Up” and “Some Say” following in the same vein as they stay consistent, making us more curious as to who could be behind this project.

The latest song from Darci is “Don’t Ask” that samples “Talk To Me” from producer Pham we coincidently previously premiered. Stay tuned for more from Darci and check out some more of the other earlier songs mentioned above to become familiar. Enjoy!
