Bro Safari & UFO! Share Full, 8-Track New Joint Album ‘Clockwork’

When we heard that Bro Safari & UFO! had a new joint album in the works, we. were. pumped. As the duo made some serious waves with their 2013 album Animal, we knew this new one would be a whole nother monster. And today the wait is finally over for Bro Safari & UFO!’s Clockwork.

With Bro Safari & UFO! having dropped part one and two of their new LP over the past few weeks, we thought we’d got a good grasp on the dark, sci-fi narrative the two had started – but with the final addition of three new tracks, Clockwork has taken an even stranger turn. Filled with dark, pulsing synths, eerie, alien-like vocal chops, wonky non-traditional percussion and deep bass wobbles, this latest offering is like nothing we’ve ever heard from the two. Check out Clockwork below and enjoy!

Skrillex Is Making New Kingdom Hearts Theme Song With Poo Bear & Utada Hikaru

This is huge news for both video game and electronic music enthusiasts everywhere. With the third installment to the critically-acclaimed Kingdom Hearts series set for release at the beginning of next year, we’ve just received word that the theme song for the highly-anticipated game will be written by Skrillex, Poo Bear and Utada Hikaru.

Although Kingdom Hearts fans are sure to remember Utada Hikaru’s iconic track “Simple and Clean” from the original game, with both Skrillex & Poo Bear joining the Japanese singer on the title track for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3, we can’t wait to see what they come out with. As the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) recently added the song, titled “Face My Fears” to their official song registry, we’re not sure if the track will see a release ahead of the game itself (which is set to release January 25, 2019) but couldn’t be more excited to see these three superstars collaborating together. And as this comes right on the heels of a recent post from Skrillex’s sound engineer Randy Urbanski saying the LA-based producer will be “back changing the game next month” plus a video of Skrillex working on a remix of Travis Scott’s “SICKO MODE”, it seems the heavyweight producer may have more up his sleeve than expected. For now check out the registry entry from the ASCAP below and enjoy!

Rising Rap Duo EARTHGANG Drop Funky New Single “Stuck” Ft. Arin Ray

One of our favorite projects in hip-hop right now is the rising Atlanta rap duo, EARTHGANG. The duo, comprised of Johnny Venus and Doctor Dot, have been rapping together for nearly a decade. It wasn’t really until around late summer of last year, however – when the group signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville label – that the general hip-hop populace started realize their potential for greatness.

With each release, EARTHGANG have been gaining more and more notoriety. Today, they dropped a brand new single titled “Stuck,” featuring Arin Ray. EARTHGANG are often compared to OutKast, and tracks like this are a perfect example why. Both duos were praised for their funky, soulful sound, while also brandishing extraordinary songwriting and lyricism.

There’s more to come from EARTHGANG, and soon. Johnny Venus and Doctor Dot announced on Reddit recently that their next album, Mirrorland, is supposed to be dropping in February 2019.

Stream the dope new track, “Stuck” below and enjoy!

Action Bronson Shares Smooth New Single “White Bronco” Off Upcoming Album

It’s been just over a year since he released his last studio album, and Action Bronson (aka Bronsolino, aka Bam Bam, aka Mr. Baklava) is back working on another. Today he drops the title track to his forthcoming album White Bronco, and he’s sounding jazzier, classier, and higher than ever.

As always, Action’s bars here on “White Bronco” are flashy, witty, and hilarious. The way he glides weightlessly over the smooth, buttery beat (produced by Daringer) is awe-inspiring. Few artists carry such pure and true confidence as this man, and it shines through his raps.

We definitely got down to a few of the jams off his previous album, Blue Chips 7000, but Action is already sounding sharper and more comfortable on this new single. We’re pumped to hear what the rest of White Bronco is going to sound like. According to Action, it should be out soon.

Stream the first single, “White Bronco,” below and enjoy!

Chris Lake Unleashes Massive House Weapon “Deceiver” With Green Velvet

Chris Lake just let loose another one of his secret weapons. This time, it comes in the form of a collaboration with Green Velvet, aka the label head of Relief Records (one of the most prolific house labels in the U.S.). This brand new track, “Deceiver” has been used a climactic point in Chris Lake and Green Velvet’s sets over the past year, and they finally feel like they’re ready to release it to the public.

“Deceiver,” like many of both Chris Lake & Green Velvet’s tracks, features a very heavy, prominent bass line that could rock a dance floor on its own. Green Velvet moves the track along with his infectious “I see your lips movin’ / but what you talkin’ bout?” vocals, until you reach the final drop which detonates on impact with signature Chris Lake laser sounds.

If this doesn’t get you moving, nothing probably will. Turn up your speakers, get up out of your seat, and stream this brand new track below. It’s out now via Chris Lake’s Black Book label Enjoy!

Bearson Shines On Must Hear New Infectious Track “It’s Not This” (Ft. Lemaitre & Josh Pan)

Bearson has been on a roll with irresistible original tracks this year and keeps his streak up with one of his biggest yet. Following up tracks like “I Only Need One“, “Go To Sleep” and “Get Lost,” he’s delivered a new song that’s likely going to be stuck in my head all week.

This new track “It’s Not This” is a collaboration with Lemaitre & Josh Pan and appears on the new FIFA 19 videogame, which is a big stepping stone for any artist. Bearson has a knack for creating infectious melodies that always hit you right in the feels and this one is no different. The hip-hop percussion blends effortlessly with the bouncing keys and synths that are somehow bright and gritty at the same time. Lemaitre and Josh Pan’s vocals elevate the song with their catchy appearances as the perfect fit with the production. We’re excited to hear what Bearson has up his sleeve but for now, enjoy!

San Holo Opens A New Chapter In His Sound With Lush, Passionate New Debut LP ‘album1’

San Holo has has come quite a long way over the past four years. Having emerged onto the scene in 2014 via his debut Cosmos EP quickly followed by an explosive remix of Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode”, the Dutch producer’s melodic trap sound immediately caught our ears and he’s been impressing us ever since. 2018 may very well be San’s best year to date though, as the bitbird boss has finally shared his highly-anticipated debut LP, album1.

“Four years ago when the melodic bass music sound was on the come up, I felt so excited. I really felt like I was doing something unique, or at least part of something bigger that was fresh and new. This feeling of doing something new and innovative is very important to me, and I kinda lost that at some point. I realized I had to reinvent my sound in order to get really excited again musically. With that in mind, I wrote album1.” – San Holo

It seems everything San has released in recent history has inevitably lead to this new direction in his sound. From emotional singles like “Light” & “I Still See Your Face” to incredible collabs with James Vincent McMorrow & Taska Black we can hear inklings of this distinctive new production style slowly bleed into one another, ultimately culminating in this beautiful new offering that is album1. As someone who studied guitar and even produced lo-fi rock under a different alias for some time, it was only a matter of time before San began to incorporate his string skills into his music and ultimately into his live performances.

“If you listen to album1 you’ll probably recognize some familiar sounds, things I’ve kept from my past work, but for the most part album1 is new and different. I want this album to be a new kind of story, from start to finish. I want you to be able to listen to this album for yourself and create your own stories, memories and experiences linked to the music.” – San Holo

Although included on the new project are previously released singles “worthy”, “lift me from the ground”, “brighter days” “forever free”, “surface” and “voices in my head”, from soft, twinkling synth melodies, crisp warbling guitar and lush orchestral swells to wonky vocal chops and heavy 808’s, album1 is at the same time both familiar yet a completely fresh, new sound from the Dutch producer. Packed with features from  frequent collaborators James Vincent McMorrow, Yvette Young, The Nicholas and many more, San Holo has gone far beyond our expectations with his new debut LP. Stream album1 in its entirety below and enjoy!

BROCKHAMPTON Drop Incredible New Album ‘Iridescence’

BROCKHAMPTON are undoubtedly the most exciting rap group in recent history. The self-proclaimed boy band put out not one, not two… but three of our favorite albums last year with their Saturation series and are back in the best way possible with Iridescence

Earlier this year the collective signed a massive record deal with RCA and their founding member Amber Vann faced highly publicized allegations that led to the group parting ways with him. This led to a delay in their follow-up to Saturation as they likely had to scrap a lot of their material. One thing BROCKHAMPTON is exceptional at is crafting cohesive albums in a short period of time and we’re absolutely loving Iridescence. The versatility of each member is put on full display and boasts some of their best production yet. Enjoy!

Lane 8 put out one of our favorite albums this year with his incredible project Little By Little that arrived in January. Now the notable album is receiving a brand new remix album re-inventing the project we’ve had on repeat for over 8 months now.

Ahead of the full remix album, Ben Böhmer flips “Hold On” featuring Fractures into a new track while maintaining some of the highlights from the original. Böhmer utilizes the vocals in the best way while re-arranging some of the melodies creating an entirely new production using driving hi-hats that’ll surely get your head bobbing. Enjoy!

PREMIERE | Christian Martin Shares Grimey House Remix Of Fellow Dirtybird Member Justin Jay’s “Drive”

Almost a full year ago, Justin Jay released his debut album, Home, via his very own Fantastic Voyage record label. Although Justin Jay felt that it was appropriate start heading in his own unique direction, he is still a very much revered and beloved member of the Dirtybird clan. That’s why when he decided to drop a remix album of Home (which drops tomorrow), he tapped multiple Dirtybird producers to put their own spin on his tracks.

Among those producers is founding member Christian Martin (older brother of Justin Martin), who was given the opportunity to remix “Drive,” perhaps one of the most dancey tracks on the album. “Drive” originally featured an acid synth lead that rose and sunk throughout the track while a bassy kick drum pounded hard, approaching levels of energy that are normally found in techno.

Christian Martin makes amazing use of the acid influences as well as Justin Jay’s distorted vocals to create a filthy little breakbeat number that will light up any dancefloor. Listen for yourself below and enjoy!

Ghastly Delivers Dark, Gritty New Dubstep Single “This Song Scares People”

It’s definitely been a good year for Ghastly. Having dropped his heavy, bass-packed debut album only a few months ago, today the LA-based artist seems to have started preparing for Halloween early with the release of a brand new single “This Song Scares People”.

With part two of his The Mystifying Oracle Tour just around the corner, we’re loving this latest spooky offering from the ghost with the most. Starting out slow with some dark horns and ominous soundscapes, Ghastly wastes no time dropping this one into a ridiculously heavy drop filled with shrill, abrasive wobbles, sittering percussion and crunchy, distorted bass. Weighing in at just over two-minutes, we can’t wait to hear how this one sounds live. Check out “This Song Scares People” below and enjoy!
