Listen To Cashmere Cat’s Highly Anticipated Debut Album ’9′

The hype surrounding Cashmere Cat’s debut album has been steadily growing since the Norwegian producer/DJ dropped “Wild Love” in August of last year. Now, exactly nine days after announcing the release date and tracklist for 9, the wait is finally over.

The 10-track album comes complete with Cashmere’s previously released singles featuring Selena Gomez & Tory Lanez, The Weeknd, Camila Cabello, and . As a whole, this release exemplifies Cashmere Cat’s ability to channel deep emotion into his songs, while expanding upon his signature blend of pop, hip-hop and whimsical electronic production.

Cashmere Cat truly defies genres in this latest offering, blending complex sound design with almost comical distortion and pitch shifts throughout his songs, while at the same time retaining a simplistic and passionate vibe. Cashmere’s elegant melodies, skittering percussion, kaleidoscopic vocals and powerful bass send the listener on a slow yet energy packed journey throughout the album.

Although it seems that Cashmere’s collaboration with Starrah, 2 Chainz & Tory Lanez didn’t make the cut, the album is packed with incredible features from Kehlani, Ariana Grande, Kacy Hill, Jhene Aiko and Ty Dolla $ign.

Stream And Download Gorillaz New 26-Track Album ‘Humanz’

After many months of anticipation built up from our favorite cartoon band, Gorillaz have finally released Humanz, their first album since 2011. We witnessed one of the most insane album rollouts we’ve ever seen with this album including an augmented reality app, multimedia stories on the cartoon band members, and dropping four singles at once among many other non-conventional efforts. While the hype levels for this project were astronomical, we can safely say that Damon Albarn and his collaborators do not disappoint.

The list of featured artists on the album is immense, with notable standouts from D.R.A.M., De La Soul, Pusha T, and Vince Staples. Each of these artists brings their own style to the track and meshes it with the unique sound Gorillaz have established over the past 16 years. While we have already heard six singles from the album, the 26 total tracks on the Deluxe Edition allow for tons of new material for everyone to listen to. The vocal interludes help to create a project that feels full and cohesive, and begs to be listened to from start to finish.

If you are a Gorillaz fan, these first few months of 2017 have been awesome to follow. Between surprise shows, a live on-camera interview with the cartoon members, a TV show announcement, and curating festivals on top of their North American tour, this more than makes up for their years of absence. Listen to the Deluxe Edition in full below and enjoy!

Colorado’s Potential Major Music Festival Takes Step In Right Direction

More details about a potential, Coachella-like, festival in Colorado have surfaced, and Denver residents are becoming increasingly excited. Bonnaroo’s and Outside Lands’ promotion company, Superfly, has verified that the city of Denver is the preferred home to their potential project.

This was announced after the City Of Denver’s Special Event Office expressed interest in hosting the festival at the Overland Park Golf Course, which is located four miles south of the downtown area. Initial talks of the festival suggested that there was a possibility it would take place in Denver’s northern suburb, Westminster. Superfly has discontinued that possibility and it’s now up the promoters and the City of Denver to agree on a contract and then be voted on by City Council.

Additionally, Superfly was originally partnered with AEG, another dominant festival production company. However, AEG has made a statement declaring that they will no longer participate in the creation of the festival, meaning it is solely constructed by Superfly. The festival organizers have proposed that it be a three-day festival housing 30,000-60,000 attendees per day, starting in 2018. We’re hoping this means Denver will finally have a major music festival down the road. Enjoy!

Watch Skrillex Drop A New Collaboration With Habstrakt at Coachella

Skrillex and Habstrakt have teamed up on a heavy new track unofficially called “Chicken Soup” that Skrillex teased during his surprise Coachella set. This marks the first official collaboration from the heavyweights, though the two have certainly shown interest in each other’s music in the past. Skrillex was just recently arrested on noise complaints after playing his demos too loud so maybe this is one of those demos and we can hope for it to drop soon.

While “Chicken Soup” is yet to be released, we can get a sense of the track from a video posted of Skrillex teasing the song at Coachella. Both producers’ distinct styles can be heard, with Habstrakt’s bass house structure and Skrillex’s grimy sound design combining future house aesthetics. Rising Artist Emmit Fenn Shares Soulful Future Bass Single “1995″

21-year-old artist Emmit Fenn recently made his TSIS debut for his incredible soulful single “Modern Flame” alongside vocalist Yuna and is back with another solid indie electronic song showing why he’s an artist to keep an eye on. The talented artist produces, writes and sings on his releases and is back once again with the latest track “1995” off his upcoming EP.

“In every song, I always want to do something completely different then the one before, so every song has a unique feel and can live in its own space. For 1995, which I’ve been holding on to for almost 2 years now, I really wanted to explore the feeling of being in a lucid state and what that feels and sounds like. After about 10 different versions of the song, my good friend Naderi and I went in and it finally all came together” – Emmit Fenn

This latest release further shows Fenn’s versatility showcasing his ability to create soulful, moody tracks combining organic and electronic elements as he worked alongside TSIS favorite producer Naderi. His gentle, passionate vocals are given subtle effects with slight autotune adding just the right amount of edge. The smooth, rolling production combines beautiful piano melodies with skittering hi-hats and rolling synths giving the song an almost haunting undertone while still remaining soulful.

“1995″ includes electronic production throughout and is the focus on the future bass-styled drop incorporating saxophone. Along with the song, he’s launched his new site with multimedia interactive content alongside Active Theory to “to create a digital experience to follow each layer of the project.” You can see a video clip of this below, but check out the site to get the full experience. Enjoy!

Watch Anderson .Paak In The Studio With Disclosure’s Guy Lawrence, Bruno Mars, and Nile Rodgers

It seems that Anderson .Paak, Bruno Mars, Guy Lawrence of Disclosure and the legendary Nile Rodgers may be cooking up some new music together. Yesterday, photographer/videographer AAA uploaded a highlight video of the musicians at work inside the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London.

Details of the studio session or its outcome have yet to surface, but even if this was just an impromptu jam session, when that much talent enters a room it’d be hard for them not to pump out something incredible. The song played during the clip is “Khadijah” off of the Yes Lawd! album from Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge’s duo project NxWorries. We’re hoping a collaboration comes out of this amazing collection of artists. Check out the video below, enjoy!

Chance The Rapper Performs His Original Version Of Kanye West’s “Waves” Live

Chance The Rapper just started his Be Encouraged tour and have delivered fans with a special surprise right off the bat. Some of you may remember his interview with Zane Lowe last year where he played the original version of “Waves” he sent to Kanye, and now he’s performed his version live.

We’re lucky a fan caught the moment on video, and it’s sounding great. Chance was heavily involved with Kanye’s 2016 album The Life Of Pablo appearing on “Ultralight Beam”, which we highlighted at the top of our post featuring Chance’s 50 best guest verses. The album was actually pushed back so “Waves” could make the album, and it was well worth it. Chance’s tour is already looking great and we can’t wait to catch him live. See the fan-shot video of “Waves” below and enjoy!

Kill The Noise Delivers Heavy Hourlong “Killuminati Mixtape”

Just a few days before his spring tour is set to kick off, TSIS Favorite Kill The Noise has dropped a relentless hour-long mix titled “Killuminati Mixtape.” This is Kill The Noise’s second release so far this year, with a massive remix of Zomboy’s “Like A Bitch” dropping just a couple of months ago, and the track makes an appearance on today’s mixtape.

“Killuminati Mixtape” wastes no time jumping in, featuring an intro of ominous, opera-like vocals that build into a filthy rock-influenced track by Kill The Noise, Snails, Sullivan King and Jonah Kay. Each song mixes seamlessly into the next from there on out, with Moody Good’s remix of Noisa’s “Get Deaded”, WAVEDASH’s “Like That,” Kill The Noise’s personal take on DJ Snake’s “Propaganda” and more heavy tracks featured. A lot of new stuff from Kill The Noise himself is also present throughout. The mix is gritty, abrasive and hard-hitting – the epitome of what makes dubstep so memorable.

The Killuminati tour kicks off this Friday, April 28 in Los Angeles. If today’s mix is any sign of what’s to come, this tour is certainly one to catch. Listen to “Killuminati Mixtape” below and enjoy!
