Knox Fortune is undoubtedly one of my favorite rising artists. The crazy talented 24-year-old has stepped out on his own for his incredible debut album Paradise after years of collaborating with high-profile artists.
The Chicago-based artist has worked with a ton of Chicago artists including Chance The Rapper, Vic Mensa, Joey Purp and more before coming through his his own full-length project. The 11-track album clocks in at just 37 minutes but is a satisfying collection of genre-blending tracks we’ll surely have on repeat. The project was a large collaborative effort as he worked with many of his past collaborators including Lido.
“Lil Thing” is one of my favorite tracks of the year and with the full LP here, it’s safe to say Knox Fortune is a special artist. He has a gift for blending different sounds with his never-ending versatility as his solo works sound nothing like his collaborations with Chance and others. He takes a more indie approach blending influences from psychedelic rock, hip-hop and even punk. His productions are next level and his voice is a dreamy, laid-back tone that brings an endlessly mellow vibe that’s perfect to kick back and relax to. Stream below and enjoy!

The Skrillex remix of Kendrick Lamar‘s “Humble” is here!! After teasing the remix live and we’ve been impatiently awaiting it’s release ever since.
There’s nothing like a good Skrillex remix, especially when it’s of Kendrick Lamar’s massive hit “Humble” we already couldn’t get enough of. When he dropped the remix at FORM Arcosanti, it popped off and now it’s here in full. Skrillex kept the wild remix ominous while utilizing the acapella leading up to trap-styled drop doing justice to Kendrick’s original. Enjoy!

Today we’re happy to be hosting a new TastyTreat premiere on the site via the always on-point label Lowly Palace. This uplifting new song “Summer (Don’t Go)” featuring Wasiu is just the right laid-back hip-hop track to kick off your weekend.
“We had this beat that we made just messing around one day that we weren’t quite sure what to do with. It sat in private mode on our Soundcloud for almost a year. We sent it to a producer friend of ours and he had a vocalist Wasiu that was stoked on it. His vibe was perfect for the song and being from Montreal he always is thinking about the West Coast weather, so it all just kind of came together.” – TastyTreat
The LA-based duo has been making moves with their genre-blending sound, and now have delivered a track that will surely make you wish you had a few more weeks left of summer. On this one they’ve linked up with Montreal-based rapper Wasiu on the bright, bouncing track that has a certain vibe to it that will lift your spirits. Enjoy!

Diplo and Starrah just released their highly anticipated joint EP that includes the previously released singles “Swerve” and “Imperfections.” Both of these tracks showed the incredible chemistry these two have together, and the new project only builds upon that.
Starrah is known for her amazing songwriting abilities, being the mastermind behind much of the most recent albums from Calvin Harris, Travis Scott, Big Sean, and Young Thug. This EP shows that she is ready to take the spotlight, with a beautiful voice that Diplo said is one of his favorites right now. Most of Diplo’s time recently has been with Major Lazer releasing their Know No Better EP in June and recording their new album. This EP, however, shows him going back to his roots where he is able to provide his combination of hip-hop and pop music to create something special.
There’s not a bad song in the five that are featured on this EP, and we can’t wait to see where Starrah’s solo career goes from here. Enjoy!

Whether he’s making history delivering an epic performance on top of the Arc De Triomphe, talking music amidst eating chicken wings in the ‘Hot Ones’ challenge or landing a spot on our list of our favorite albums of the year in 2016, DJ Snake is always one to keep things fresh and unique. Today the French producer is back with another new single, “A Different Way” feat. Lauv, an instrumentalist, producer and vocalist that you should no doubt keep an eye on moving forward.
DJ Snake utilizes an upbeat style of production on this one, with the core of the song being a steady xylophone sample that’s later joined by rebounding percussion and subtle piano keys. He switches things up on the drop with a dancehall-style vocal sample, giving the song a tropical vibe that contrasts nicely with Lauv’s smooth voice. The track is also co-written by non other than Ed Sheeran. Check it out below and enjoy!

NC rapper Rapsody just released her second studio album, and the standout track features the legendary Kendrick Lamar and his TDE labelmate Lance Skiiiwalker. “Power” is the third time that Rapsody and K. Dot have collaborated; their most recent track together “Complexion (A Zulu Love)” off of To Pimp a Butterfly was a beautiful song about inclusion, featuring an impeccable verse from Rapsody.
9th Wonder provides a sample-heavy beat for the two MC’s to spit verses over, while Lance Skiiwalker lays down an infectious chorus. Once Rapsody heard the beat, she knew she had to get Kendrick Lamar on the song and even though he was very busy working on Damn., he gave her one of the best feature verses we’ve heard from him recently. Rapsody’s bars show that she shouldn’t be overlooked in today’s hip-hop world, and Kendrick Lamar once again proves he’s one of the best technical rappers of all time.
Rapsody’s album Laila’s Wisdom also features Anderson Paak, Busta Rhymes, Terrance Martin, BJ the Chicago Kid, and more – we highly recommend checking out the whole project. Enjoy!

Now Young Thug skips and hops atop the bouncing, slow-rolling beat with deep hard hitting basstones as they two prove to be a great match. Stay tuned for more Young Martha and enjoy!

Today we are premiering the debut track from a brand-new artist named XAINS. We know very little about the mysterious musician other than the fact that he’s worked with producers for A-list talent such as Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, and Brittany Spears. His debut single “Set Me Off” marks his first solo work as XAINS.
“Set Me Off” gives off indie electronic vibes, where XAINS combines smooth, soulful vocals with crisp production. The bright, electric piano forms the track’s backbone, the deep bass combining with each chord. A distant tremoring synth can be heard in the background as a catchy, acoustic guitar melody forms alongside the R&B-style vocals.
XAINS effortlessly combines these elements with thumping house kicks to create a unique and energetic ambiance. “Set Me Off” is the first single off XAINS’ debut album, which is slated to be released in early 2018. Check it out below and enjoy!

Boombox Cartel made some huge waves back in April with the release of their Cartel EP. And as numerous unofficial remixes have been surfacing over the past months, a remix EP was only speculation till the duo confirmed it at the beginning of the week. Today, we’re happy to bring you the first of many to come with the premiere of Candyland’s remix of “Phoenix”.
It’s been a while since we’ve had the pleasure of sharing this Santa Barbara-based producer’s music on the site. For his latest offering, Candyland has taken on the first track off of Boombox Cartel’s EP and flipped it into a trap monstrosity. Starting off with the gentle pad and arp from the original, a piercing synth and heavy kick progress the track into a powerful drop filled with metallic stabs, distorted bass and some hard-hitting percussion. Check out Candyland’s remix of “Phoenix” below and enjoy!

It’s been a few months since we introduced the mysterious cartoon producer known as Parker to the site but it seems he’s only been picking up speed since. Now, after starting the month (and his tour) off by by playing with Diplo and unveiling his identity with his real name Jake Sgarlato in the process, we have the pleasure of premiering his brand new single “Shy”.
“Sometimes taking a step back and really re-evaluating your current state and being is all one needs to get the inspiration to start over; taking advantage of lessons learned and using it as an opportunity to reassess, rebrand, and rebuild. With a new outlook – Parker was born.” – Parker
Hailing from the same team as Getter, this latest offering from the (poorly drawn) producer comes as a followup to his recently released single “Spark”. Starting off with a soft pad and playful plucks, a gentle vocal chops and some skittering percussion quickly throw the track into a fast-paced drop filled with bright synths, vibrant arps and a hard hitting kick. Check out “Shy” below and keep an eye out for Parker’s Spark EP dropping tomorrow (September 22). Parker has decided to give it away as a limited free download so grab that below while you can!
