The New York City based duo href="http://www.dancingastronaut.com/tag/opvs/">Opvs is back with a brand new remix of Young the Giant’s “Silvertongue,” which was one of the up and coming indie band’s biggest tracks of 2016. The young and talented minds that are Dan Valente and Sean Squires have been making huge strides in 2017, as their most recent flip of the href="http://www.dancingastronaut.com/tag/post-malone/">Post Malone jam “Too Young” sat at #1 on Hype Machine’s overall songs and remixes. Prior to that, their single “Small Talk” earned massive Spotify presence, landing a spot on the href="http://www.dancingastronaut.com/tag/martin-garrix-2/">Martin Garrix Show playlist and Canada’s Viral 50 charts.
With this remix of “Silvertongue,” the duo’s production skills are truly made evident, completely revamping the enthusiasm of the original and creating some energetic vibes of their own. Opvs utilizes an upbeat bassline and short, light-hearted synths to accompany the vocals, which only amplifies the beauty of the original, and tops it off with a hard-hitting drop as well as some added pitch vocals. As far as we know, these two kids aren’t stopping anytime soon and should definitely be added to the list of artists to watch for the remainder of 2017.
