Martin Shkreli Breaks Promise, Previews 2 Lil Wayne ‘Carter 5’ Tracks with Kendrick Lamar Feature

A couple of days ago, Lil Wayne revealed that his long-awaited ‘Carter 5’ album was on the way. Today, the upcoming album springs a leak as controversial pharmaceutical tycoon and current owner of an unreleased ‘Carter 5’ album Martin Shkreli previews two new tracks from the album.

The first track’s allegedly called “Mona Lisa” and it features Kendrick Lamar. The audio is choppy since Shkreli kept clicking through the track while he was live streaming, but he claims it’s the best song on the album. The second snippet track he played was titled, “The Life of Carter”.

With Kendrick so hot right now on the heels of his new number-one album, ‘Damn’, the featured leak comes as no surprise. This marks the second time Shkreli has revealed music from ‘The Carter 5’, last Christmas, he released footage of audio of untitled tracks from the album. However, promised to not reveal anymore new material after being threatened by Lil Wayne of legal action. If you remember, Shkreli is also the same person who purchased the infamous unreleased Wu-Tang album for $2 million dollars.

The long overdue fifth installment to the Carter series have been in limbo for years now with Lil Wayne currently in a legal battle with Cash Money over unpaid compensation on multiple albums. Wayne has publicly stated he wants off of the label and recently been representing Jay Z’s Roc Nation imprint.
