‘Ghosts in the Shell’ soundtrack features Above & Beyond, Boys Noize and more

As the big screen adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s legendary Ghost in the Shell approaches theaters, the official tracklist for the live action film has been revealed in full. In fitting in with the theme of the franchise’s dystopian cyberpunk universe, the soundtrack enlists some of the foremost electronic musicians of our time.

Titled Music Inspired by the Motion Picture Ghost in the Shell, the soundtrack features the likes of Above & Beyond, Boys Noize, DJ Shadow (featuring the great Nils Frahm), and even an appearance from electronic music pioneer Gary Numan. The album kicks off with href="http://dancingastronaut.com/2017/03/steve-aoki-remixed-theme-ghost-shell/">Steve Aoki’s remix of Kenji Kawai’s “Utai IV Reawakening,” which surfaced last week.
