[TSS Interview] Bobby Puma Goes Deep In His Latest Production

LA based producer Bobby Puma returns with a Deep House tune in label Armada Deep. Deeper Than Love includes the alluring vocals of Katt Rockell and a stunning yet chill beat. With Deep House elements he kept it simple without having the need of a roaring bass lead. Along with the Chill Out feel Bobby Puma made a refreshing music production. TSS also managed to interview Bobby Puma about certain topics.

Bobby Puma – Deeper Than Love | Beatport |

TSS: Coming from a background of house bangers, what has inspired this style change to deeper more emotional house music?

BP: I have a deep love for house music in general, so when I heard this vocal I viewed it as a sexy Ibiza style track. Already had the arrangement in my head so it came quite naturally.

TSS: Can we expect any collaborations with other deep house artists or other Armada artists after this release?

BP: Not sure if any of them like me lol, but I would love to if given the opportunity!

TSS: What got you into house as a more general genre in the first place?

BP: I enjoyed listening to music that my daughter who was 3 years old at the time would dance to. I would use her for referencing!

TSS: Who are your biggest influences going into 2016?

BP: Wow so much talent it’s hard to say…NGHTMRE, Maceo Plex, Tiesto, Solomun and digging Robin Shultz lately too.

TSS: What was the first hint you had that making music was something that was going to take you somewhere?

I still haven’t gotten anywhere…yet. If anybody finds a hint that I missed please message me lol

TSS: Any tips for up and comers?

BP: Make something diverse, unique, and something you would listen to yourself. Forget about what the world and the label tells you.
